1955 GMC Auto Transport Services Pick up Enclosed Transport
Porsche Loaded onto Trailer

1998 Porsche 911 Coupe and 2001 Porsche 911 Coupe Shipping with Enclosed Trailer

Roger from AutoTransport.com undertook this enclosed car shipping for a1998 Porsche 911 Coupe and a 2001 Porsche 911 Coupe using a double-decked enclosed trailer. This exclusive two car transport gave the client peace of mind, and the cars had the best handling by experienced operators under Rogers’s direction. The method comes with higher cargo insurance depending on the models shipped and extreme recovery options for the Porsche load.

Our enclosed car shipping options feature e-track flooring; climate-controlled trailers and advanced articulated lift-gates with customized strap tie-downs. This trailer’s bed platform is made from high tensile steel and made stronger with carbon steel crossbars which feature an antiskid surface. While assuring the client that the vehicles are well protected from weather elements and road hazards, AutoTransport.com takes delivering them in the same condition they are picked up very seriously.

Porsche Loaded onto Trailer

Professional Porsche Car Shippers

The shipping method that Roger determined for shipping the Porsche sports coupes involved an enclosed two-deck trailer with a lift-gate that loaded the cars with minimal hassle. This client considered the two 1998 and 2001 Porsche 911 coupes an investment and wasted no effort or expense in securing the best means of transportation.

Due to the length of the journey from New York to California, there was also concern about icy blizzards, dust or debris on the motorway and protection was accorded by the specialized enclosed trailer.

A variety of options for Porsche car carriage that we offer at AutoTransport.com include enclosed or open trailer conveyance, 5-Star, expedited and exclusive vehicle shipping. Since these luxury models of vehicles also attract a lot of criminal intent, we give our clients sufficient peace of mind against the theft. For the two Porsches, our customer selected the more premium enclosed car carrier transport.

The first car to be loaded was the 3,100 pound 1998 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe which was driven onto the lowered lift gate and a wheel wedge used to stabilize it from the rear. Once lifted, the car was driven onto the lower floor of the double-deck enclosed trailer and its suspension safely secured with straps. This car’s dimension of 14 ft. length, 5.9 ft. width, and 4.3 ft. height left a lot of room to spare within the lower floor.

Concierge-Like Customer Service For your car transport

The next Porsche vehicle drove up behind it and rolled onto the lift-gate, and after being stabilized with the wheel wedges, was lifted to the upper floor of the trailer. This 2001 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe weighed 3,300 pounds and had the dimensions of 14.5 ft. length, 6 ft. the width and, 4.25 ft. height. The Porsche Carrera 4 cabriolet two-door version was an all-wheel-drive coupe that had the first turbo cabriolet installed by the manufacturer as a standard.

Wheel straps inside the enclosed trailer were used to give more securing to the vehicle while wheel buffs, retained the car within the trailer’s centralized position during transportation. The transport took 43 hours to complete, going through the states of Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah and New Mexico. After leaving New York, our enclosed trailer drove through the major cities of Cleveland, Chicago, Des Moines, Lincoln, Denver and Las Vegas before circuiting Los Angeles to Costa Mesa.
