Shipping Two 2012 Ford F350 on a Single Drop Deck Trailer

Nick accomplished the shipping of these two Ford F350s on a drop deck trailer from AutoTransport.com, who transported them from Lincoln to Houston, in Texas. One of the Ford F350s was a 2012 model while the other a 2013 Dually, and both had extended crew cabs, box bodies, and dual tandem rear axles.

A capacity step deck trailer was employed for the transport, and Nick set out loading the two pick-up trucks for a comprehensively compact load. Each of the two Ford F350s weighed 10,500 pounds and had a height of 6.37 ft. while their modified truck beds had the dimensions of 7.65 ft. with a combined length of 37.8 ft.

Getting the right fit

Using loading ramps, Nick drove the first pick-up truck onto the step deck platform and used another set of ramps to put the front axles of the Ford F350 onto the high forward deck. The truck was secured in that angled position, with the rear axles trailing on the lower bed platform, and chains tied down its front axle and wheels.

Once this initial 2013 Ford F-350 Dually was in position, the 2012 Ford F350 was driven onto the step deck trailer behind it and secured with chain rigging.

Precise Organization

  1. The first angled utility truck was further secured with belt strapping around the hood to stop any wind action from opening it while on transit and causing damage to the vehicle. Once both trucks were sufficiently secured, Nick initiated the 100-mile journey from Lincoln to Houston, which took 3 hours and 44 minutes without hindrances.
